The Really Handy Co. offers a basic handyman services focusing on light installation, fixing and assembly (flat packs etc) work. Typical works include; furniture or flat-pack assembly (IKEA etc.), blind and curtain rail installation, picture hanging, lock repairs, door easing, minor carpentry such as boxing in and shelving, shelf hanging, toilet seat replacement, sash replacement and some glazing, small plaster damage filling and minor decorative repair. We can also resolve many other minor problems in and around your home often saving you the expense of specific trade specialists, or allowing you to amalgamate a list of minor jobs of ranging description. We currently do not offer; building works, landscaping, exterior redecoration, roofing, re-plastering or rendering, installation of facility supplies, gas work or central heating repairs, damp proofing, carpet fitting. Picture Hanging – We can hang most sizes of pictures and mirrors.

Lock Replacement – We replace locks, door furniture and other hardware such as kitchen unit hinges
Toilet Seat Replacemen
Minor Electrical & Plumbing – we do simple ‘non – certifiable’ electrical work and plumbing. Subject to prior inspection. Usually this would be something we would look at where there’s a list of other jobs already or when we already know the property
Decorating – where there is no need for extensive prep. and with acrylics and other water based paints only.
Tiling – very simple jobs only – such as attaching a few tiles as a basin splashback.
Exterior:
Shed assembly and external storage assembly;
We do some fence repairs, but not new fence installations. Often fence posts become rotten at the base and need replacing. This generally means digging out heavy concrete footings and replacing the rotten timber usually involving several hours of hard work.
Gate hardware replacement;
Shed roof/felt replacement;
Decking Repairs
Jet washing (hired or client provided washer)
Lawn mowing/strimming (hired or client provided equipment)
Shed demolition (but not removal).
New Baby & toddler safety :
We assemble cots and other baby furniture;
